RTC: Prediction roundup

With the NFL season set to begin tonight, it's prediction time.

Which teams will win divisions? Which will make the playoffs? Which teams will make the Super Bowl and which one will win it? Here's a roundup of what writers and experts at ESPN and elsewhere think:

Ron Jaworski, Herm Edwards and Mel Kiper, three of ESPN NFL Insiders, gave their picks and analysis for division and wild-card winners, plus a few sleeper teams that could surprise by Week 17.

All of the NFL Nation writers that cover AFC teams gave their picks for division winners, playoff teams, rookies of the year, and MVP.

Vinnie Iyer of The Sporting News picked the Jaguars to finish third in the AFC South.

Sports Illustrated's Chris Burke and Doug Farrar both pick the Jaguars to finish last in the division.

Here are some other pieces of content from around the Web in the Jaguars' version of Reading the Coverage:

Only two of 14 NFL experts picked the Jaguars to beat Kansas City on Sunday. The identity of one may surprise you.

TSN's Iyer picked the Chiefs to win, but he had some nice things to say about the Jaguars.

The Florida Times-Union's Ryan O'Halloran writes about three storylines to continue to monitor this week. Keep an eye on the situation with tight end Marcedes Lewis and his calf injury, right tackle Luke Joeckel's debut against one of the league's better pass rushers, and each team will have some surprises for each other.
