RTC: Cutting through coach-speak

Sometimes NFL coaches don't say what they really mean, especially when it comes to the NFL draft.

Nobody wants to tip their hand and give another team an idea of which players they like and which player they're targeting with their first-round pick. That's understandable, but it can get confusing listening to all that coach-speak.

The Sporting News' Vinnie Iyer, however, has deciphered what 31 of the NFL's 32 coaches said at the NFL combine. His interpretation gives some insight into which players the teams are targeting.

For example, Iyer reviewed Jaguars coach Gus Bradley's comments about what the team wants in a quarterback -- timing, accuracy and decision-making -- and his praise of Teddy Bridgewater ("He's got really good poise and very good decision-making and is very accurate.") and determines that the Jaguars are targeting the former Louisville standout with the No. 3 pick.

Here are some additional pieces of Jaguars-related content from around the Web in our Reading the Coverage feature:

NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah has the Jaguars taking Khalil Mack in his third mock draft. Jadeveon Clowney and Greg Robinson are the first two picks.

ESPN.com Bears reporter Mike Wright reports that Chicago re-signed Roberto Garza to a one-year deal worth $1.5 million. He was scheduled to become a free agent so that's one fewer player in play for the Jaguars, who are trying to add a center.
