Bruins hoops picked second in Pac-12 poll

UCLA's men's basketball team was picked to finish second in the Pac-12 in a vote of conference media members, the conference announced Thursday.

The Bruins had 402 points in the preseason poll, one behind conference favorite Arizona, though the Bruins received one more first place vote (16) than Arizona (15). California, which was third overall, and Washington, which was fifth, also received first-place votes.

The media has correctly picked the conference winner in 12 of 20 polls, though last year UCLA was picked to win and finished fifth.
