Stars of the scrimmage talk

Running back Dillon Baxter had plenty of highlight-reel plays this spring, but he added one more to it Saturday with a 58-yard, double-spin run in the third quarter that got the Coliseum crowd oohing and aahing. Baxter, a true freshman, seemed to take the run in stride.

He talked afterward about the specifics of the run, his growing knowledge of the playbook and practicing the wildcat formation:

Meanwhile, with much of the spotlight focused on Matt Barkley this spring, reserve quarterback Mitch Mustain quietly had himself a solid 15-practice schedule — capped off by a five-touchdown performance today.
