Angels' top prospects start fall league

Angels outfielder Mike Trout and catcher Hank Conger headline a group of six players from the organization who began play in the Arizona Fall League on Tuesday.

Trout, the Angels top prospect who hit .220 with five home runs and 16 RBI in late-season action for the club, is playing on the Scottsdale Scorpions alongside Bryce Harper, the Washington Nationals' No. 1 overall pick from the 2010 draft to make up one of the AFL's best outfields.

The Angels' other participants are pitchers David Carpenter, Christian Scholl, Daniel Tillman and Andrew Taylor and infielder Jean Segura.
