Angels name minor-league coaches

One of the upshots of the Angels’ organizational meetings over the last few days was to piece together their minor-league coaching staffs.

A lot of familiar names are returning, but the Angels’ new front office -- led by GM Jerry Dipoto and assistant GM Scott Servais -- also puts its stamp on the new assignments.

Ex-major league catcher Bill Haselman will manage the team’s Single-A club in the Inland Empire; Mike Micucci takes over at Double-A Arkansas, where he’ll be joined by pitching coach Trevor Wilson, a former Giants and Angels pitcher.

The coaching staff for Triple-A Salt Lake will remain the same, led by manager Keith Johnson. At Single-A Cedar Rapids, Jamie Burke has been named manager; Tom Kotchman, father of major-leaguer Casey Kotchman, will continue to manage at rookie-level Orem.
