Stanford now has company in the recruitment of Torii Hunter Jr., one of the Angels' outfielder's four sons.
The younger Hunter, a wide receiver and cornerback at Prosper High in Texas, is scheduled to make an unofficial visit to UCLA, where he could play both football and baseball, and he already has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech.
Stanford appears to remain the favorite because of the combination of strong football and baseball programs, plus first-rate academics. According to Torii Hunter, his son scored a 1600 on the SAT, including 630 in math, both well above-average.
One of Hunter's other son, Darius, a slot receiver and safety, has an offer to play football at Texas Tech.
