Scioscia tinkers with lineup

ANAHEIM -- The Angels have yet to win consecutive games this season and have yet to take a series. They can do both Saturday night against the Baltimore Orioles in the middle game of a weekend set.

Manager Mike Scioscia has not been afraid to mix up his lineup, using 13 different combinations through 15 games. He's clearly not concerned with the lack of continuity.

"The core guys have been out there a lot," Scioscia said. "Then you have some guys which you might want to match up with and be able to take some different looks here and there. I don't think it's difficult. ... There's not a guy in that clubhouse that doesn't want 600 plate appearances, but obviously that's not possible."

Second baseman Howie Kendrick, who had three hits and three RBIs in Friday night's 6-3 win, got the day off.

"I don't think our goal is to keep everyone happy," Scioscia said. "Our goal is too keep guys productive. That's what we need to search for."
