The Caveman Diet

ANAHEIM -- The Angels are tied with the Oakland A's for the most different lineups used this season, 22 in 24 games, and manager Mike Scioscia is trying another look Wednesday night: using his co-home run leader, Vernon Wells, in the No. 2 hole.

The top two hitters Wednesday, Erick Aybar and Wells, have .250 and .247 on-base percentages respectively, having walked a combined six times.

"We're kind of going caveman in this lineup, just going big, with some guys who can swing the bat," Scioscia said.
