The growing of playoff beards has long been a tradition for NHL players, and this season is no different.
For the first time in a while, Kings players have actually had a chance to see what kind of beards they could sprout.
Advancing to the Western Conference finals will give you such opportunities, and that's where the Kings find themselves this season as they begin play in that series Sunday night at Phoenix.
The last time the Kings made it this far in the playoffs was 1993 when a Wayne Gretzky-led group reached the Stanley Cup finals and lost to the Montreal Canadiens, four games to one.
The Kings are hoping for a different outcome in 2012, and if beholding to tradition and superstition has anything to do with it, they hopefully have more than a whisker of a chance to do something special.
Take a look a the photos of five Kings below -- Anze Kopitar, Drew Doughty, Dustin Brown, Dustin Penner and Jarret Stoll -- and let us know who you think has the best playoff beard by voting in the poll above.
