Kings announce rest of playoff schedule

The Los Angeles Kings will play home games in the Western Conference finals series against the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday and next Sunday (May 20) at Staples Center, the team announced.

The series opens Sunday in Phoenix with Game 1 scheduled for 5 p.m. PT. Game 2 will be played in Phoenix on Tuesday night.

The teams then return to L.A. to play Game 3 on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Staples Center and Game 4 on Sunday at noon at Staples Center.

The Kings have reached the Western Conference finals for the first time since 1993 when they beat the Toronto Maple Leafs and advanced to the Stanley Cup finals where they lost to the Montreal Canadiens.

Game 1: Sunday at Phoenix, 5 p.m. PT

Game 2: Tuesday at Phoenix, 6 p.m. PT

Game 3: Thursday at Staples Center, 6 p.m. PT

Game 4: May 20 at Staples Center, noon PT
