- (3:23 mark) On the heels of the Lakers' absolute beatdown of the Dallas Mavericks, Brian wonders, "what the hell?" Why can the Lakers demolish a good opponent while missing Ron Artest, Luke Walton, and (suddenly) Pau Gasol after an in-game hamstring injury, but can look mediocre against Golden State and Sacramento? As I noted in my postgame analysis of the Mavs' victory, I think the Lakers are generally at their best when presented with the most of challenges.
-(9:54 mark) As noted, Gasol hurt his hammy (and talked briefly about the injury after last night's win over the Rockets) and is officially day-to-day while healing up. On the plus side, Andrew Bynum tends to play considerably better with Gasol out of the lineup. And... um... on the minus side...
