Over at TrueHoop, they're running a great series of NBA coach profiles. Today's installment centers on Mike D'Antoni, provided by the always outstanding Kevin Arnovitz. It's a great breakdown of D'Antoni's coaching philosophies, well worth the read, and also includes this outstanding nugget:
"Italian fans nicknamed D’Antoni “Arsene Lupin,” the debonair thief of French crime fiction and cinema who worked deceptively, but as a force of good."
That's one highbrow nickname. Certainly Lakers fans hope the whole "force of good" thing comes through this season.
