This week's ESPNLA.com Top 25

ESPNLA.com's new prep football rankings have been published and there was little change at the top with Servite, Westlake, Mission Viejo and Lakewood maintaining the top four spots.

Here are some brief highlights of how things played out this week:

  • No. 1: Servite at 2-0 remained the top team in the rankings after another impressive victory over Granada Hills Kennedy.

  • Biggest mover: St. Bonaventure's 32-7 win over Long Beach Poly vaulted the Seraphs from No. 25 to No. 16.

  • Honorable mention: Norco's 25-21 win over Crenshaw in its opener moved Norco from No. 18 to No. 11.

  • Taking a tumble: Poly dropped from No. 5 to No. 16, Crenshaw slipped from No. 11 to No. 18, Loyola, a 42-7 loser to No. 3 Mission Viejo, fell from No. 15 to No. 21, and previous No. 6 Chaparral fell to No. 14 after a opening loss to Oceanside.

  • Newcomers: Riverside Arlington debuts at No. 20 and Dana Hills checks in at No. 25.

  • Dropped out: Taft, a 37-24 loser to No. 19 Dorsey, and Compton Dominguez, a 21-15 loser to No. 10 Bishop Amat.
