Montclair Prep drops athletic programs

Montclair Prep announced it has dropped all athletic programs because of financial reasons.

The Van Nuys private school made the announcement Monday.

The school also announced it would become a ninth-12th-grade school, eliminating its seventh and eighth grade classes. It also said it would no longer offer financial aid.

All students-athletes from the school are free to transfer to other schools without restrictions, according to CIF-Southern Section rules.
