Granada Hills girls tennis win CIF title

The Granada Hills girls tennis team won its fourth CIF City Section title in a row and 10th in school history, 5-2, over Palisades at the Balboa Sports Complex on Monday.

The Granada Hills singles players swept their sets and the Highlanders completed an undefeated season at 14-0.

Freshman Sarah Nuno won her sets, 6-1, 6-0. Teammate Cassandra Fisbeck won her sets, 6-1, 6-0, and Analyssa Tallas won, 6-0, 6-1.

Palisades holds the City Section record with 20 girls tennis championships. Granada Hills, the top-seeded team in the playoffs, beat Palisades in the 2003 and 2004 finals.
