Redlands (4-6) at No. 1 Corona Centennial (9-1), 7:30 p.m.

How they got here: Centennial won the Big VIII League championship; Redlands finished third in the Citrus Belt League:

Matchup to watch: Redlands junior running back Craig Lee (142-1,353, 15 TDs) vs. Centennial linebacker Edem Nassar (8.5 tackles per game).

Fast fact: Centennial has won six Southern Section titles since 2000.

Prediction: Centennial 49, Redlands 21.

Los Osos (6-4) at Chaparral (6-4), 7:30 p.m.

How they got here: Chaparral finished runner-up in the Southwestern League; Los Osos finished third in the Baseline League.

Matchup to watch: Arizona State-bound offensive tackle Dylan LaFrenz of Los Osos (6-4, 280) vs. Chaparral defensive end Teddy Queen (6-3, 240).

Fast fact: The last time these teams met was in the second round of the 2007 playoffs, when Chaparral kicked a 27-yard field goal with a little more than a minute remaining, leading to an ugly shouting match between a few Los Osos coaches and fans.

Prediction: Chaparral 24, Los Osos 20.

Chino Hills (6-4) vs. Rancho Cucamonga (9-1) at Los Osos HS, 7 pm.

How they got here: Rancho Cucamonga finished second in the Baseline League; Chino Hills finished runner-up in the Sierra League.

Matchup to watch: Chino Hills junior receiver Jack Austin (45-726, 10 TDs) vs. Rancho Cucamonga secondary (five interceptions).

Fast fact: Rancho Cucamonga is 8-2 in the playoffs over the last three seasons.

Prediction: Rancho Cucamonga 31, Chino Hills 14.

Norco (6-4) vs. No. 4 Redlands East Valley (10-0) at Redlands HS, 7 p.m.

How they got here: Redlands East Valley won the Baseline League; Norco finished fourth in the Big VIII.

Matchup to watch: Redlands East Valley quarterback Austin Decoud (13 touchdown passes, eight rushing) vs. USC-bound defensive end Scott Starr of Norco (8.1 tackles per game, five sacks).

Fast fact: Norco is 20-6 in the playoffs over the last eight seasons and hasn’t lost in the first round since 2002.

Prediction: Redlands East Valley 42, Norco 7.

Murrieta Valley (7-3) at No. 3 Upland (10-0), 7:30 p.m.

How they got here: Upland won the Baseline League; Murrieta Valley finished third in the Southwestern League.

Matchup to watch: Upland running back Donta Abron, Jr. (193-1,354, 26 TDs) vs. Murrieta Valley’s run defense (allowed 389 yards last week vs. Chaparral).

Fast fact: Upland has combined for just three turnovers this season.

Prediction: Upland 51, Murrieta Valley 7.

Corona Santiago (7-3) at Charter Oak (9-1), 7 p.m.

How they got here: Charter Oak won the Sierra League; Santiago finished third in the Big VIII.

Matchup to watch: Santiago defensive back Keleen Culberson (four interceptions, three passed deflections, two fumble recoveries, three caused fumbles) vs. Charter Oak quarterback Travis Santiago (2,629 yards, 21 touchdowns, four interceptions).

Fast fact: Santiago hasn’t won a playoff game since becoming part of the Big VIII in 2008.

Predication: Santiago 24, Charter Oak 21.

Yucaipa (9-1) vs. J.W. North (9-1) at Riverside College, 7:30 p.m.

How they got here: J.W. North finished second in the Big VIII; Yucaipa was runner-up in the Citrus Belt League.

Matchup to watch: Yucaipa junior quarterback Clayton Leach-Mead (2,156 total yards, 24 TDs) vs. J.W. North defensive ends Aaron Peck and Marcus Baugh (15 total sacks).

Fast fact: J.W. North has completed one of the great one-year turnarounds of the season after finishing 2-8 a year ago.

Matchup to watch: Damien sophomore quarterback Gage Pucci (.422 completion percentage, seven interceptions) vs. Vista Murrieta senior defensive lineman Jeremy Castro (18 sacks last two seasons) and junior safety Su’a Cravens (11 sacks last two seasons).

Fast fact: Vista Murrieta lost in the Inland Division finals the last two seasons.
