Football: No. 10 St. John Bosco 51, Santa Fe 0

BELLFLOWER -- Rene Medina threw for 246 yards and two touchdowns, Royce Moore ran for 150 and a score, and St. John Bosco scored on seven of nine possessions in the first three quarters en route to a 51-0 rout Friday night of visiting Santa Fe.

Medina (16 of 26) would have posted better numbers, but a half-dozen of his throws were dropped, and two touchdowns were called back because of penalties, including a 51-yard punt return by Cal-bound Bryce Greggs, who also scored on a 30-yard pass play.

The Braves (3-0) had 16 plays of 10 yards or more, five of at least 20 -- plus a 38-yard first-quarter interception return by Shane Baumann and a 31-yard fumble return for a touchdown by Elijah Lopez in the fourth quarter, which was played under a running clock.

Santa Fe (1-2) gained 46 yards and three first downs on its first seven plays and 37 yards with no first downs from that point until the closing minutes of the third quarter, when Bosco was ahead, 45-0.
