Orange County: Athletes of the week

Natalie Luzar, Orange Lutheran, Sr.

Luzar led the Lancers to one of the county's biggest upsets of the season with a 58-51 victory over Edison, which had been ranked No. 11 in the state by Cal-Hi Sports. Luzar, a 5-8 guard, scored 24 points and also had five steals for OLu (19-6), which is the second place team to Mater Dei in the Trinity League.

Michael Breslin, Tesoro, Sr.

The goalkeeper helped the Titans (14-5-4) to a 1-0 victory over San Clemente as Tesoro clinched the South Coast League title by remaining undefeated through seven games. Breslin had eight saves, including a sequence in which he blocked three point-blank shots within the span of about 30 seconds, in securing his fourth straight shutout.
