Top returning sackmen in south L.A. County

With the start of the high school football season just a little over a week away, we give you a list of the top 15 returning sackmen in south Los Angeles County, sorted by last year’s totals. Keep in mind that players from schools in the San Fernando Valley, Orange County and Inland Empire are not included.

Jeremiah Allison (Dorsey) is the area's top sack artist. He's quick, unforgiving, and projects as a hybrid defensive end/outside linebacker in college. The most sought-after recruit on this list is five-star defensive tackle Ellis McCarthy (Monrovia). ESPNU ranks McCarthy as the fifth-best player in the state in the class of 2012. He has offers from all over, including the two local schools.
