It was a quiet day for prep players from the LA North region on the third and final day of the Major League Baseball draft.
Oaks Christian left-handed pitcher Travis Radke was the only high school player selected from the LA North region. He went in the 45th round to the Cincinnati Reds.
College of the Canyons right-handed pitcher David Haerle, who played at Quartz Hill High School, went in the 39th round to the Houston Astros. He was the second player from College of the Canyons selected in the draft. Second baseman Juan Perez, who played at Cleveland High School in Reseda, was drafted in the 26th round.
