Three ejected in Oaks Christian tourney

The Agoura and Palisades girls' basketball team didn’t stay in the holiday spirit for very long.

Three players were ejected from an Oaks Christian tournament game for fighting in the fourth quarter. Agoura’s Kylie Cunnigham and Palisades’ Asia Smith started fighting in the final period of the consolation game at Oaks Christian.

Both players were ejected. Agoura’s Sydney Bennett came off the bench and was also ejected.

When play resumed, Agoura won, 56-41. Noamm Leadd led Agoura in scoring with 22 points. Cummingham was had 12 points when she was ejected from the game.

Smith had a team-high 10 points for Palisades. Bennett had 0 points.

In other games in the Oaks Christian girls basketball tournament, Thousand Oaks beat Carson, 67-29; Newbury Park beat Taft, 52-29; and El Camino Real beat St. Joseph of Santa Maria, 71-50.
