Godoy Cruz (Argentina) at Lanus (Argentina)

Lanus, which finished second in the spring Clausura, is making its seventh appearance in a South American club tournament since 2006. Mendoza's Godoy Cruz made their Copa Libertadores debut earlier this year. Now they play their first game in the continent's No. 2 championship.

Wilson Field (Orange), 5 p.m.

The Panthers were disappointed not to receive an NCAA Division III postseason berth after a 10-7-2 campaign last fall. Returning all-region forwards Nick Echeverry and Mauricio Alfonso hope to lead Chapman into the tournament this year.

Azerbaijan at England

They just crowned one UEFA U-21 champ (Spain) and determined Europe's entrants for next year's London Olympics, and now qualifying has started for the next tournament, with the English opening Group 8 play at Watford. Replay: 6 p.m.

Velez Sarsfield (Argentina) at Argentinos Juniors (Argentina)

Fox Deportes, 4 p.m.

Velez won Argentina's Clausura title last spring and is a favorite to win South America's No. 2 club competition, although it will have to get past its cross-Buenos Aires rival in a home-and-home series to reach the group stage.

Former USC star and Canadian national-teamer Isabelle Harvey prodded her Broncos to a superb start last year, with just one loss in their first seven games, but five losses in their final half-dozen outings killed off their NCAA Division II tournament hopes. Cal Poly wants to start strong again, and it'll work on its finish.
