Galaxy opens MLS season in Seattle; Chivas starts at home

The Galaxy heads to Seattle to open Major League Soccer's 2011 season, taking on the Sounders in a rematch of their first-round playoff series on Tuesday, March 15, the league's First Kick opener on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes.

The following weekend will offer L.A. Soccer fans a Saturday/Sunday doubleheader, with Chivas starting its season Saturday, March 19 against Sporting Kansas City, and L.A. playing its home opener Sunday, March 20, against New England.

The Galaxy will travel to Utah for Real Salt Lake's home opener Saturday, March 26.

The league released its slate of home openers Monday. The remainder of the schedule will be unveiled by early February.

Sporting Kansas City won't have a home game until June 9, when its $180 million KC Soccer Stadium opens.
