Nick LaBrocca scored again for Chivas USA. This time it was a milestone.
The midfielder's sixth goal of the campaign, to give Chivas a 30th-minute lead Saturday at Sporting Kansas City, was the 10,000th in Major League regular-season history. That's 15 1/2 years' worth of goals.
LaBrocca, who has scored in three successive games for the Goats, scored with a finish nearly identical to that on his goal in Wednesday night's victory over San Jose, taking a diagonal ball from Justin Braun in space just above the box and firing to Sporting goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen's right and inside the far post.
The Goats lead, 1-0, early in the second half.
UPDATE (6:31 p.m.): Omar Bravo's header two minutes into second-half stoppage delivered a 1-1 draw to Sporting Kansas City.
