Football camp moving to San Bernardino

The UCLA football team will head to Cal State San Bernardino for fall camp, the schools announced Tuesday.

First-year coach Jim Mora will take his team to the Inland Empire campus Aug. 4-16, according to a Cal State San Bernardino news release. There is no word on where the Bruins will practice from Aug. 17 until the Aug. 30 season opener at Rice.

"We believe the move to CSUSB will be a very positive experience for our football team,'' Mora said in the Cal State San Bernardino statement. "We are excited for the opportunity to continue to lay the foundation for the coming season."

UCLA athetic director Dan Guerrero, in his blog, wrote that "though the complete schedule has not been finalized at this time, summer camp will open on Saturday, August 4, and each of the practices at CSUSB will be open to the public. More details will be available in the coming weeks on UCLABruins.com."

“We are pleased that coach Mora and the entire UCLA football staff will begin their fall season here at Cal State San Bernardino,'' CSUSB athletic director Dr. Kevin Hatcher said. “That our two staffs can collaborate on this project is no small undertaking. The cooperation of many individuals and departments here at CSUSB has enabled us to move forward."
