UCLA junior guard Malcolm Lee (ankle) is probable for Wednesday's game against No. 7 Villanova after participating in practice on Tuesday.
The Bruins play Villanova in the second semifinal of NIT Season Tip-Off in Madison Square Garden at 6 p.m. (PT) on ESPN2.
Lee, the Bruins' leading scorer last season, sprained his left ankle in the first half of UCLA's win over Pepperdine on November 15. He sat out of UCLA's win over Pacific the next night and had been in a walking boot until Tuesday.
On Friday, UCLA coach Ben Howland said that Lee would not be cleared to play unless he was able to practice at least once.
"It's a big stage, we're playing Villanova," Lee said on Friday. "Our team is short on scholarship players, so I just want to get out there and help my team."
