Linebacker Patrick Larimore got most of the credit for UCLA's strong defensive showing against the Houston Cougars, but don't overlook the impact cornerback Andrew Abbott made.
Abbott, the Bruins' primary nickelback, was everywhere in the early minutes. He was credited with four tackles in the first quarter and finished with seven, including two for a loss. Only Larimore had more.
The redshirt sophomore, who was awarded a scholarship during fall camp, spoke following Saturday's win.
