SALT LAKE CITY -- We're getting set to go here at Rice-Eccles Stadium for No. 13 USC against host Utah. Here are some last-minute things worthy of an update before the scheduled 6 p.m. PT kickoff:
-- Among the players who made the trip who did not make USC's last trip because of injury are receiver George Farmer and running back D.J. Morgan. Center Khaled Holmes, who reinjured his ankle in the Trojans' last game against Cal, also made the trip. Farmer, Morgan and Holmes all warmed up with the offense in pregame drills.
-- USC arrived at Rice-Eccles 15-30 minutes later than normal. The team was not provided a police escort from its Salt Lake City hotel to the stadium, as is customary on the road. The non-special teamers didn't get on the field for warmups until about 50 minutes before kickoff.
-- It's expected to be around 63 degrees at kickoff, with the temperature dropping into the low 50's in the second half.
-- Remember last year's USC-Utah game? The score was changed two hours after the game to reflect Torin Harris' return of the Utes' field-goal attempt that would have tied the game in the final seconds. What are the chances of that happening again?
-- A prediction: USC 38, Utah 17
