USC defensive administrative assistant Chris Kiffin has accepted an offer to become the defensive line coach at Arkansas State, USC announced Tuesday.
Kiffin, head coach Lane Kiffin's younger brother and the son of assistant head coach Monte Kiffin, was with the Trojans for only a year, coming to USC after two years at Nebraska as a quality control coach.
He technically wasn't an assistant coach at USC, by title, so his departure does not leave an actual vacancy on the staff. USC still three other administrative assistants on staff, but the Kiffins will probably bring along another young coach to help out there.
The receivers coach and tight ends coach spots are still open.
