Locker Room Buzz: Miami Dolphins

MIAMI -- Observed in the locker room after the Miami Dolphins' 23-21 loss to the Buffalo Bills:

"Frustrating": That was a common word used by several Dolphins players after the game. Miami had a very sullen locker room after losing its third straight game. Players such as receiver Mike Wallace, center Mike Pouncey and guard Richie Incognito all said they’re frustrated with the team’s losing ways. “We’re killing ourselves right now,” Incognito said.

Boosting morale: The mood and vibe of the team have taken a turn following the Dolphins’ 3-0 start. Miami has now lost three in a row, and questions are looming about whether this group can hang together to get out of this funk. The other option is to fall apart. Coach Joe Philbin admits that keeping the team together and its confidence high are his goals.

Looking ahead: There was some embarrassment with Dolphins players after the game. The general feeling was Miami gave this game away. However, veterans like Dimitri Patterson added that the best thing the Dolphins can do is look ahead to the next game. “If this was Week 12, that’s a different story,” Patterson said. “The fact that we have 10 more games left, everybody should still be in the mindset that we can get on the right track.”
