Morning take: Questioning Mike Sherman?

Here are the most interesting Miami Dolphins stories Wednesday from around the web:

  • Jeff Darlington of the NFL Network reports players in the Dolphins locker room are beginning to question offensive coordinator Mike Sherman.

Morning take: Sherman’s play calling has been an issue all year, particularly when it comes to abandoning the run. Sunday against New England, the Dolphins called 22 run plays in the first half and just nine in the second half. Questions will only grow if the Dolphins continue to lose.

  • Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald reports the Dolphins worked out four free-agent receivers Tuesday.

Morning take: Miami is trying to find another receiver to place on its 53-man roster after Brandon Gibson (knee) was put on injured reserve. Rishard Matthews will get his shot to fill Gibson’s role.

  • The Sun Sentinel staff is split on predicting who will win Thursday’s game between the Dolphins (3-4) and Bengals (6-2).

Morning take: This is a tricky game on Halloween night. Cincinnati is on a four-game winning streak and Miami is on a four-game losing streak. However, both teams match up well. I will post my prediction on Thursday.

  • Brian Briggane of the Palm Beach Post says the Bengals are a formidable opponent.

Morning take: Cincinnati is a tough team to end a losing streak with. The Bengals made the playoffs last year and beat the New England Patriots a few weeks ago, which says a lot.
