Dolphins injury report: Pouncey doubtful

DAVIE, Fla. -- The Miami Dolphins (5-5) released their final injury report in preparation for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers (7-3).

Here is the game status of players for Miami:

Out: RT Jonathan Martin (illness)

Doubtful: C Mike Pouncey (illness), CB Dimitri Patterson (groin)

Probable: S Chris Clemons (knee, shoulder), LB Dannell Ellerbe (knee), S Reshad Jones (groin), WR Rishard Matthews (back), LB Koa Misi (knee), DE Derrick Shelby (ankle), RB Dallas Thomas (ribs), WR Mike Wallace (hamstring), S Jimmy Wilson (abdomen)

Analysis: Pouncey and Patterson are not expected to play and that’s not a surprise. Both missed a lot of practice time during the week. Pouncey missed all three practices after getting ill last week. Pouncey said Friday that he wants to play, but Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin rarely dresses players who miss every practice. Patterson missed two practices but returned on a limited basis Friday. He missed the last game against San Diego and could be a game-time decision. Everyone else for Miami is expected to play in this big game against the Panthers.
