The Miami Dolphins had an interesting 2013 season with plenty of highs and lows. In the end, Miami finished 8-8 with several questions about how the organization should proceed in the future.
But ESPN.com’s Dolphins page takes a look back at top moments throughout Miami’s season. We start with the No. 9 and No. 10 Dolphins moments:
No. 10: Wallace upset in Week 1
Analysis: The Dolphins got their 2013 season off on the right foot with a 23-10 road win over the Cleveland Browns. Miami overcame a slow start but scored 17 second-half points on offense. However, Dolphins’ No. 1 receiver Mike Wallace was upset after being held to one catch for 15 yards. The timing of Wallace's anger seemed off considering Miami improved to 1-0. But Wallace didn't cause a stir the rest of the year and eventually won the “Good Guy Award” from the Miami media this past season. Wallace's Week 1 actions proved to be just a blip on the radar.
No. 9: Dolphins avoid disaster in Pittsburgh
Analysis: Fast-forward to December, where the Dolphins played one of their best games in a playoff eliminator against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Both teams were fighting for the final wild card in the AFC. Miami took Pittsburgh’s best effort and appeared to deliver a knockout blow after scoring 10 unanswered points in the final three minutes. But the Steelers ran a wild play that included several pitches, and the final one ended up in the hands of Pittsburgh receiver Antonio Brown. He shot up the sideline but stepped out of bounds before running in the end zone. It was Miami’s second of three wins in December.
Next up, we will have Dolphins top moments No. 7 and No. 8.
