Let's make a Dolphins draft board

It’s one of our favorite times of the year, draftniks. This week we will put together a first-round draft board for the Dolphins with help from Miami fans.

Next week, ESPN.com will hold its annual reporter mock draft. For the past few years, I’ve made things as realistic as possible by setting up an NFL draft board similar to what the other 31 teams around the NFL are doing this spring. But I need your help.

Here is how it works: I am the general manager and you are my large group of Dolphins scouts. Both sides account for 50 percent. So make a list of your top five players for Miami at No. 19 this week and send your ballot to my Twitter account @JamesWalkerNFL. I will leave the voting open for 48 hours.

It’s only one ballot per person and please be realistic. For example, if you have Jadeveon Clowney as your top pick for the Dolphins at No. 19, you will automatically be disqualified. I will add up the ballots I receive on my Twitter account this week and compare notes with mine to make a final draft board. As usual, we stay true to our board.

Last year, we correctly predicted a trade up with the Dolphins from No. 12 to No. 3. However, the top player on my draft board was left tackle Lane Johnson. The Dolphins selected defensive end Dion Jordan. The jury is still out on that decision.

What will be the decision in 2014? It's up to all of us to decide.

So let’s begin!
