Poll: Dolphins' starting running back?

The Miami Dolphins enter a big 2014 season and have a lot of competition across the board for starting positions. One spot that will be hotly contested in training camp is at tailback, where Lamar Miller, Knowshon Moreno and Daniel Thomas are vying for one starting job.

That brings us to our latest poll question: Who will be Miami's starting tailback in Week 1 when the Dolphins take the field against the New England Patriots?

Will it be Miller, who is the incumbent? Miller had a disappointing 2013 in his first full year as a starter. He rushed for just 709 yards, two touchdowns and didn't prove he could be the feature back. Miller currently is getting first-team reps in organized team activities. But will he hold onto the job in September?

What about Moreno? The Dolphins signed last year's starting running back for the AFC champion Denver Broncos in hopes that Moreno can bring experience to the team. Moreno is the most complete running back of the group, especially when it comes to pass protection and picking up blitzes. Will Moreno build on last year's 1000-yard season?

Finally, Thomas has been able to hang around in Miami. The former second-round pick never lived up to his potential but rushed for 406 yards and four touchdowns last season. Could Thomas thrive and start in first-year offensive coordinator Bill Lazor’s new scheme?
