Morning take: Albert to Dolphins?

Here are the most interesting Miami Dolphins stories Tuesday from around the Web:

  • Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post takes a look at the possibility of free-agent left tackle Branden Albert signing with the Dolphins.

Morning take: The Dolphins have plenty of cap room and Albert is the top left tackle on the market. So it makes sense. Miami’s offensive line needs a complete makeover.

  • Barry Jackson and Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald report Pro Bowl cornerback Brent Grimes remains optimistic about a new contract.

Morning take: Grimes will be an unrestricted free agent on March 11. But I don’t expect Grimes to make it that far. The Dolphins are expected to reach a long-term agreement or slap Grimes with the franchise tag soon.

  • Chris Perkins of the Sun Sentinel writes long snapper John Denny is unhappy with the Ted Wells report.

Morning take: Many in Miami’s locker room did not think bullying took place. However, there have already been repercussions from Wells findings after the Dolphins agreed changes must be made.

Morning take: Miami has a lot of depth at defensive end. So don’t look for the Dolphins to have much interest at the top of the draft.
