The Sacramento Kings have waived forward Anthony Tolliver, according to The Sacramento Bee and NBC Sports California, and will owe him only $2 million against the 2017-18 salary cap, as opposed to a fully guaranteed deal of $8 million if he remained on the roster past 5 p.m. ET on Thursday.

In his lone season with the Kings, Tolliver averaged 7.1 points and 3.6 rebounds.

The Kings already have gained an additional $14.3 million of cap room when Rudy Gay informed the Kings that he was planning to decline his 2017-18 player option. The Kings also are expected to pass on Arron Afflalo's $12.5 million salary for next season, so they will waive him by June 23, which will reduce his guaranteed salary to $1.5 million.
