The Atlanta Hawks are acquiring guard Jamal Crawford and center Diamond Stone as part of a three-team trade that sends forward Danilo Gallinari from the Denver Nuggets to the LA Clippers via a sign-and-trade.
Crawford is expected to seek a buyout with the Hawks so he can sign with another NBA team, while Stone will be part of Atlanta's roster this coming season. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Hawks are planning to have Stone be on their team that is competing at the Las Vegas Summer League. Once Stone completes his physical and the trade is officially approved, he will be allowed to practice with the Hawks.
Stone, 20, the No. 40 selection in the 2016 NBA draft, played in seven games with the Clippers last season and averaged 1.4 points.
