Elfrid Payton has missed the last four games due to his strained left hamstring, and he also won't play Monday when the Orlando Magic take on the New Orleans Pelicans. Could he return later this week?
"He's trying to do a little bit more each day," Magic head coach Frank Vogel told the Orlando Sentinel on Sunday. "He's out for these two games, and we'll see where he's at after that."
Orlando's remaining games this week are against Memphis on Wednesday and Chicago on Friday.
Until Payton is cleared by the medical staff to rejoin the active roster, Vogel will continue to start DJ Augustin at point guard.
