The Milwaukee Bucks did not pick up their 2018-19 team option on Rashad Vaughn by Tuesday's deadline. As a result, Vaughn will be an unrestricted free agent next summer.
The Bucks selected Vaughn with No. 17 selection in the 2015 NBA draft, and he has made 111 appearances with the team. Last month, Vaughn said that he was aiming to earn a bigger role with the Bucks this season.
"Starting from training camp and going into preseason is definitely going to be the time for me to show the coaches that I'm ready," the 21-year-old said.
Vaughn can still re-sign with the Bucks next summer; however, they probably won't offer him another contract.
