Arkansas State adds a juco signee

Safety Adrian Hills has been added to the Arkansas State 2010 recruiting class.

Hills is a two-time all-conference selection at Butte College who helped the Roadrunners to an undefeated season and national championship in 2008. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.

“We are really excited about adding A.J. to our team,” coach Steve Roberts said in a statement. “He is a very physical safety who has had a great career and we look forward to him continuing that here at ASU. Obviously, he joins our team with a ton of experience at the junior college level.”

Hills is the 27th member of the Red Wolves 2010 class and the seventh defensive back.

He had 84 tackles, one interception, 6.5 tackles for loss and two fumble recoveries last season. As a freshman, he had 87 tackles, three interceptions, two sacks and a blocked punt while helping the Roadrunners to a 12-0 record.
