ESPN and the Western Athletic Conference have released the 2010 football television schedule.
The schedule includes 10 games on the ESPN and ESPN2 networks. It begins with the Sept. 2 contest between Hawaii and USC on ESPN.
Boise State leads the conference with six appearances on ESPN’s networks -- beginning with the Labor Day contest between the Broncos and Virginia Tech at 8 p.m. ET. The Broncos nonconference game against Oregon State also will be televised as will its games against Idaho, Fresno State and Nevada.
"With three BCS Bowl appearances and two wins over the last four seasons, WAC football has established itself as one of the top brands in the country," WAC commissioner Karl Benson said in a statement released by the conference. "Our relationship with ESPN allows us to put together a television schedule for next season that will provide plenty of exciting and big games to showcase our teams throughout the nation."
Seven of the WAC’s nine teams will make at least one appearance in 2010 and additional television games will be added to the ESPN networks in the upcoming months.
