Welcome to the Winless Watch, where we take a look at the teams still waiting on their first victory of the year, and their odds of getting it this week.
There are still 21 teams searching for that elusive first win:
Western Kentucky (0-2). Streak: L 22. This week: Indiana. Chances: 1 percent. The Hilltoppers have not come close, getting outscored 112-38 in their first two games. They have a good running back in Bobby Rainey, who has 339 yards and three touchdowns this year. But they need more than a running back to win.
Eastern Michigan (0-2). Streak: L 14. This week: Central Michigan. Chances: 5 percent. The Eagles have shown improvement, falling short in the fourth quarter in both their losses. This will not be a winless season, but the first win will have to wait. Central Michigan is too good.
Colorado State (0-2). Streak: L 11. This week: at Miami (Ohio). Chances: 50 percent. The Rams have scored nine points in two games behind true freshman quarterback Pete Thomas. Miami was one of the worst teams in the MAC last season but has shown improvements. Miami gets the edge at home.
Vanderbilt (0-2). Streak: L 10. This week: at Ole Miss. Chances: 40 percent. Ole Miss has looked pretty terrible. The Commodores nearly beat Northwestern, but a controversial penalty on the Commodores hurt any chances for the win. They can stay in this game but no win this week.
New Mexico State (0-1). Streak: L 8. This week: at UTEP. Chances: 20 percent. The Miners could be without running back Donald Buckram again. Even if they are, they should win based on their talent alone.
Memphis (0-2). Streak: L 8. This week: Middle Tennessee. Chances: 80 percent. Memphis has not been competitive in any of its games, but this is the first at home under new coach Larry Porter. An upset would not be out of the realm of possibility, even with freshman Ryan Williams at quarterback.
North Texas (0-2). Streak: L 6. This week: at Army. Chances: 40 percent. The Mean Green's chances took a serious hit when Nathan Tune went out for the season with a dislocated hip. They played Clemson tough and lost a heartbreaker to Rice, but without Tune it will be tough.
UAB (0-2). Streak: L 4. This week: Troy. Chances: 100 percent. The Blazers lost a tough one to FAU in the opener. Troy is always a terrific team, and Corey Robinson has played well so far. Jerrel Jernigan is one of the fastest players in the country. But the Trojans will have a hard time slowing down David Isabelle.
Bowling Green (0-2). Streak: L 3. This week: Marshall. Chances: 20 percent. The Falcons have been close in both of their losses, but Marshall has the more experienced quarterback.
FIU (0-1). Streak: L 3. This week: at Texas A&M. Chances: 1 percent. The Panthers played valiantly against Rutgers, but coach Mario Cristobal is waffling with his quarterbacks. Never good.
New Mexico (0-2). Streak: L 3. This week: Utah. Chances 0.5 percent. The Lobos could be the worst team in college football and play one of the best. Not looking good this week.
North Carolina (0-1). Streak: L 3. This week: Georgia Tech. Chances: 80 percent. We haven't seen the Tar Heels since they nearly beat LSU despite missing a good chunk of their team. The Yellow Jackets are reeling after losing to Kansas. Give the edge to UNC in this one, on heart alone.
Oregon State (0-1). Streak: L 3. This week: Louisville. Chances: 90 percent. The Beavers should be able to handle the rebuilding Cardinals behind the Rodgers brothers.
San Jose State (0-2). Streak: L 3. This week: Southern Utah. Chances: 100 percent. The Spartans have injury problems, but should be able to take care of an FCS team. "Should" being the operative term.
ULM (0-1). Streak: L 3. This week: at Arkansas State. Chances: 20 percent. The Warhawks played Arkansas really tough, but Ryan Mallett ended up throwing for 400 yards. They face another prolific quarterback this week.
UCLA (0-2). Streak: L 2. This week: Houston. Chances: 50 percent. The only chance the Bruins have is if Case Keenum sits out with a concussion.
Virginia Tech (0-2). Streak: L 2. This week: East Carolina. Chances: 100 percent. The Hokies need this game as badly as anybody else and will be fired up to stop the bleeding.
UNLV (0-2). Streak: L 2. This week: at Idaho. Chances: 20 percent. The Rebels are going to have a hard time stopping Nathan Enderle, who will be eager to shake off his performance against Nebraska.
Akron (0-2). Streak: L 2. This week: at Kentucky. Chances: 1 percent. Coming off a loss to FCS Gardner-Webb, the last thing the Zips need is playing a school from the SEC.
Arkansas State (0-2). Streak: L 2. This week: ULM. Chances: 80 percent. Arkansas State nearly beat Louisiana last week and has Ryan Aplin at quarterback, who has thrown for 716 yards already this season, second-most in the country.
Marshall (0-2). Streak: L 2. This week: at Bowling Green. Chances: 80 percent. The Herd will be able to get over the heartbreak of losing to West Virginia with a win here.
