Non-AQ Top 25 Players: No. 20

We have yet another all-purpose player on the list as we head into Week 2 of our non-AQ Top 25 rankings. You may have gotten to know him more as his team made a name for itself this season. If not, he is a definite player to watch in 2011.

20. T.Y. Hilton, WR/KR, FIU

If you tuned in and watched the Little Caesars Bowl, then you know why Hilton is on this list. His 89-yard kickoff return for a touchdown helped start the FIU rally against Toledo. His fourth-and-17 conversion on a hook and ladder helped set up the game-winning field goal for the Panthers. Hilton went on to win MVP honors for the game, and was a huge part in helping the Panthers win their first bowl appearance and first ever Sun Belt championship. He was also the Player of the Year in the league. This season, Hilton ranked No. 8 in the nation in all-purpose yards. He led the team with 848 yards receiving, and added 282 yards rushing. Let’s not forget his 833 kickoff return yards as well. Perhaps his best game came against ULM on Nov. 6, when he scored four touchdowns and piled up 291 all-purpose yards. What is left to do as a senior? Hilton already holds the school record for all-purpose yards with 5,602.
