Auburn's defense makes crucial stop

AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn's defense just made a huge stop in this game.

After giving up one fourth-down conversion to Mississippi State, the Tigers stood tall to force a fourth-and-9 from the Bulldogs' 46.

The Bulldogs looked like they were going to go for it, so Auburn called a timeout. Mississippi State came out of the timeout with it's punting unit and kicked. Auburn has the ball at its own 18.

Auburn leads 41-27 with 9:45 left in the game. Mississippi State's defense will have to get tough, especially up front. The Tigers have 225 rushing yards and they should just continue to grind it out on the ground to eat up clock and wear down this Mississippi State defense.
