Tuitt doesn't make trip due to violation

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- The Notre Dame pass rush we've spent so much time talking about this week will be down a man tonight, as freshman defensive end Stephon Tuitt did not make the trip to Purdue due to an unspecified violation of team policy, according to Fighting Irish director of media relations Brian Hardin.

Tuitt, who saw some action at noseguard down the stretch last week at Pitt, was credited with one tackle despite teaming up with fellow freshman end Aaron Lynch for a sack late in the fourth quarter.

It's certainly an interesting and late development, and one we'll keep an eye on throughout the evening.

In what is less of a surprise, reserve linebacker Danny Spond (hamstring) is not on the travel roster, either.
