Final: Cincinnati 25, Louisville 16

Cincinnati mounted a second-half comeback and shut out Louisville after the break to win the Keg of Nails for the fourth straight season.

The Bearcats (5-1) got a huge second-half effort from Isaiah Pead, who had 151 yards rushing and a 50-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter to give the Bearcats the lead for good. Pead averaged 7.6 yards a carry, right in line with what he has been doing all season. Cincinnati outscored Louisville 18-0 in the second half after trailing 16-7 at the break.

Louisville (2-4) managed just nine points on offense, and its lone touchdown came on an interception return for a score. The same old problems plagued the Cardinals -- poor offensive line play, failing to take advantage of opportunities to score touchdowns and an inconsistent run game. The Cardinals had just 13 first downs in the game. Jeremy Wright led the team with 25 yards on the ground.

Cincinnati defensive tackle Derek Wolfe came to play, with 11 tackles, three for loss and a sack. He has had a terrific season so far, and he just continued that Saturday.
