Pitt players get assault charges reduced

Pitt running back Ray Graham, cornerback Lafayette Pitts and receiver Devin Street had their misdemeanor assault and conspiracy charges reduced to disorderly conduct.

The three were charged in November after police say they surrounded another student before one of the players punched the man in the head. Graham's attorney, Mark Fiorilli, told the AP a deal to reduce the charges was made, before a scheduled preliminary hearing Wednesday.

The three must complete community service by April 15 for the charges to be reduced.
