Ryan Mathews, RB, Fresno State: Had a career high 234 rushing yards and three touchdowns in a loss to Boise State. Each of Mathews touchdowns came on runs of 60 or more yards.
Chris McCoy, DE, Middle Tennessee: McCoy finished with a career-best nine tackles, including four for loss and a team-high six solo stops. He also blocked a field goal, recovered a fumble, had a pass breakup and registered one sack in the 32-31 win over Maryland.
Coach Jerry Kill, Northern Illinois: With 3:22 remaining, NIU up 28-21 and facing a fourth-and-2 on their own 16, Kill calls a fake punt, which the team makes. It’s able to get a couple of first downs and keep the ball until 18 seconds were remaining to preserve the 28-21 win.

Jamail Berry, FS, Western Michigan: Had a fumble recovery for a touchdown, an interception and blocked a PAT in Western Michigan's win over Miami (Ohio).
Omar Clayton, QB, UNLV: Threw for 340 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winning score with 36 seconds remaining against Hawaii.
Klint Kubiak, SS, Colorado State: Kubiak led the Rams with seven tackles. He also intercepted a pass, which came off a diving effort, to kill a potential scoring drive for Nevada. Colorado State scored on its next series.
Jon Davis, DB, Air Force: Intercepted two passes, returning one for a touchdown, to lead Air Force to a 37-13 victory over New Mexico.
